Just how responsible should rappers be held for their words especially in hip hop? This was the question that set off an argument lasting several hours with my bro...'.... at the end of it all I was more of the view cats/rappers/emcees gotta be called on it, basically they should bear the most responsibility...Truthfully though I'm of the view a healthy balance is needed. I'm happy those sales are down maybe pple will start switching up and being more creative.
At the same time I'm a realist and the reality is all the negativity in hip hop ...is just reflection of what goes on society perhaps a bit extreme but this shit happens all over....there is enough blame to go around as well...
Double smh* at snoop..."when i call a woman a ho it comes from the soul.."(paraphrasing i am but it was something along those lines) really? snoop really? sticking a mic in front of these dudes makes for comedy unparalleled and stupidness with no bounds..

I read somewhere Nas should have called his album 'Lyricism is dead" i suspect not too many rappers would have reacted they way they did...

Before i forget, pick up that hip hop colony dvd its on amazon..and if you are not willing to pay for it, netflix is a friend too.

Watched the movie Pathfinder...its ehh, weak ass story enough blood though.. the viking costumes were sick. Grindhouse is next...3hrs..nice
So I here I am watching the mavs and spurs and great game so far, only for ref to catch feelings and throw Tim Duncan out..dude better get suspended. This guy clearly did not get the memo... pple don't go to games to see refs...the best ref are the ones you know nothing about.
Playoffs are around the corner..lovely just lovely the match ups so far look intriguing...I'm praying GS makes it instead of Clippers, on paper they are much better match up, they run and their bigs have enough movement to contend with dirk, Den and Spurs looks like an interesting match up as well, but i think the nuggs messed up and started winning they woulda been perfect at seven facing phoenix ....that way the suns could not hide nash aka mvp- is- a- joke- this- days. But they way its going seems like LA is at seven, psycho bean will have to put up 50 every night.
East I'm really seeing nets shocking either bulls or raptors, kidd aka a-triple-double-waiting to happen is still a great pg. Btw the east can take it again in the finals if Detroit or MIA get to the finals I'm riding with either of them to win it.....

Love the video hall of fame on youtube. Will try and view em when Im not at work - good to have em all in one place.
I have the Bonobo album as well and really feelin some of those songs with that woman's voice - "days to come"!? wow. wise and sultry in the same breath, I love it.
Sad news about the Muki-Mwaf-Zaq breakdown with WAPI. two steps forward - one step back.

Do you want to know what my pain is? Supporting these Raptors when they insist on living on the edge. Every time I watch them lose a game, I swear that I will never spend another minute of my life watching basketball ... until the next time I sit down to watch a game.
